چکیده

One most important and critical problem in a cross-docking system is truck scheduling. Many studies it assumed that the temporary storage unlimited which real world, limited. focus on minimizing total completion time. Meanwhile, are hard to find, although this aspect very important. Due its complexity, especially with multiproduct characteristics, manual scheduling almost impossible achieve goals. used several techniques, such as genetic algorithm (GA) mixed integer programming where these methods computationally expensive. Based problem, work, we propose new model terminal limited constraint. This developed by using multi-agent system. The main contribution of work proposing multi-agent-based capacity constraint changeover permit. In it, there three agents: inbound-trucks scheduler agent, outbound-trucks material handler agent. shortest remaining time (SRT) adopted every simulation result, proposed proven competitive compared existing FIFO based models integer-programming model. Compared model, creates 41.8 percent lower maximum inventory level. 52.1 55.1 aspect, 0.2 2.2 than It 7.2 higher

Truck Scheduling in a Cross-Docking Terminal by Using Novel Robust Heuristics

Nowadays, one of the major goals of the distribution environment is to reduce lead times and inventories. Cross-docking is a logistics technique which removes the storage and picking up the functions of a warehouse. The term cross-docking refers to moving products directly from incoming to outgoing trailers with little or no storage in between. According to the recent related papers, the truck ...

Truck scheduling problem in a cross-docking system with release time constraint

In a supply chain, cross-docking is one of the most innovative systems for ameliorating the operational performance at distribution centers. Cross-docking is a logistics strategy in which freight is unloaded from inbound trucks and (almost) directly loaded into outbound trucks, with little or no storage in between, thus no inventory remains at the distribution center. In this study, we consider...

Multi-agent Based Truck Scheduling Using Ant Colony Intelligence in a Cross-Docking Platform

The management of trucks in a cross-docking platform is a process under five steps: the arrival, the control, the unloading, the transfer and finally the loading. In each of these steps, a sequence of decisions arise. To achieve an optimal and robust solutions, the interdependencies between the different planning functions should be taken into account, and scheduling decisions must be made simu...

New Approaches in Metaheuristics to Solve the Truck Scheduling Problem in a Cross-docking Center

Nowadays, cross-docking is one of the main concepts in supply chain management in which products received to a distribution center by inbound trucks which are directly to lead into outbound trucks with a minimum handling and storage costs as the main cost of a cross-docking system. According to the literature, several metaheuristics and heuristics are attempted to solve this optimization model....
